Eerste veulen geboren! Elena van Stal Aschberg

Op zes maart is ons eerste veulen van het seizoen geboren, zoals we inmiddels bij Christina wel gewend zijn diende het veulen zich 14 dagen voor de uitgerekende datum aan. Chris is bij ons gekomen toen ze twee jaar oud was, inmiddels is dit het zesde veulen wat ze ons heeft gegeven. En erg leuk, ze zijn nog allemaal bij ons, Metske, Seppe, Vajén, Ziva en Brett, Seppe is helaas toen hij twee maanden jong was overleden.

Afgelopen dinsdag begon Chris in een keer een knap uier te produceren, woensdag was het echt een knoep uier en het melk spoot eruit. En ja, ze was met momenten knap onrustig. Dus ’s avonds om half 11 voor we naar bed gingen het alarm maar omgedaan. Temperatuur bleef gelijk al vrij laag tijdens het eten, ik kon natuurlijk niet slapen… dus steeds een oog op de camera. Het alarm is niet afgegaan, maar ze ging liggen, wij naar de stal en het alarm afgedaan en binnen enkele minuten, erg vlot, was daar Elena! Echt een vlot en actief veulen, binnen 10 minuten stond mevrouw al. Moeders lag nog lekker, maar daar was Elena het niet mee eens. Binnen twee uur netjes de nageboorte eraf, dus een bevalling uit het “boekje”. Altijd weer fijn!🍀

Elena van Stal Aschberg, Luna heeft deze naam verzonnen, uiteraard is de naam van een prinses uit een serie die Luna altijd kijkt. 😊Elena is zeer actief en met dit heerlijke weer al regelmatig buiten, waar moeders achter haar aan kan rennen. Heerlijk gezicht! Beide doen ze het vooralsnog er goed.❤️

Elena is dus een dochter uit onze Koninging en Kroonmerrie Christina de V. (Jouwe 485 x Doaitsen 420) en de rastypische Nyk 538, de eerste jaargang van Nyk. Wij zijn erg tevreden over Elena.

Nu komen eind maart de eerste lammeren en vanaf 10 april zijn de eerste Shetlanders uitgeteld, en dan 17 en 25 april Metske en Vajén.

De start is mooi en alles lijkt gezond, hopelijk zet alles zo door! Nu genieten we in ieder geval volop! ❤️🍀🍀❤️
